Getting there
Long-distance bus services to and from Athens and Patras are available from the local bus company. They usually run once a day. The island airport is a short ferry and bus ride away from Lixouri. The bus stop and offices are located near the ferry port.

Getting around
There are regular car ferries from Lixouri across the bay to Argostoli (which cuts out the long drive along the coast). These runs every 30 minutes at busy periods and hourly outside these times. The trip takes around half an hour.
